We came across this amazing cluster in Tucson this year, and I was stunned at its incredible energy.  From the Twintrees, they gave me to understand that this is a Shift Cluster and the arrival of one in your life is the signal of a great many huge changes beginning.  This phenomenal cluster is from China, and the long fabulously clear crystals are etched and lined growth interference crystals.  The terminations are beautiful, and one is covered in triangular self healings are reminiscent of record keepers.  The other main point has been bisected by the mineral that caused the initial growth interference.  One can only speculate that the multitude of bladed hematite rosettes covering the cluster account for the growth interference lines and the faint red hue to the crystals.  There are numerous small crystals all over the formation, some that have the shift lines, some that don't, and some that are penetrated by the hematite in the process of creating those growth interference lines.

This is a cluster that you can stare at for hours.  Its beauty is incredible, but its energy is so complex that it would take a great deal of time to unravel all its mysteries.  The piece speaks to me of entirety, of following the path from inception through its entirety to completion.  It speaks of beginnings, of nurturing possibilities to fruition, of growing those possibilities and adjusting for "surprises" that come along and shift the path, of adapting to change and overcoming obstacles, of not losing sight of the soul of the initial possibilities as the path shifts beneath us, of growth continuing even though conditions seem set against it, of completion, task accomplished, of rest and rejuvenation and dormancy, and of rebirth and continuation of the cycle.

Growth interference quartz occurs when another mineral grows with a quartz crystal and then dissolves leaving behind a disrupted growth pattern in the quartz. They appear to have deep cuts around the shaft made by a thin saw and in some cases appear to have had thin sheets of quartz cut and reattached off center.
