When we say high altitude Himalayan Quartz we aren’t kidding, these crystals are mined by hand at an extraordinary 23,000 ft! Most high-altitude quartz is mined around 10,000 - 16,000 ft. Our crystals are from the Ganesh Himal whose peaks lie mainly on the Nepalese side of the border, however some peaks lie on the borders with Tibet. It’s only a man-defined border that defines these as Himalayan crystals instead of Tibetan crystals.  There is truly a profound difference in the vibration of the energy of these crystals. It is very high and pure, yet still deeply connected to the resonances of the earth. You can feel both aspects of the divine energy as well as the earth energy, its such an amazing experience. These crystals have been honored from before they were mined. The miners hand harvest the crystals with deep respect to the mountain and the crystals. These miners adopt the village they are mining near, making sure that young and old alike are fed and clothed, as well as providing education. These crystals are on the expensive side, but considering the care and reverence to the earth and the crystals, as well as the altitude and distance they have traveled, they are truly a rare treasure.

I was drawn to this incredible Nepalese crystal the first time I saw it.  A large hand holder size, this wonderful crystal is in a cathedral formation, with a lovely trinity of points at its top.  Its form is lustrous with lovely etchings on its shaft.  The crystal has intense clarity but for the very base, and at the top where a large fracture eons old started to separate.  You can see the fault lines running through the crystal, but miraculously the crystal regrew and healed itself from this geological trauma, marking it as an earthquake crystal.  You can follow this fracture all the way around the crystal, and you'll be drawn in to exploring all the minute new faces and terminations that are generated from the fracture as the crystal heals itself.  On the bottom of the crystal, additional self healing is occuring, and there you'll find fantastic and bright record keepers forming.  This beautiful cathedral has an ancient energy that is very high and clear in vibration.  A faint silver color to the crystal lends it an aura of serene mystery, and I can see the cloud wrapped mountains where it came from.

The crystal measures 4.5" x 2.3" x 1.8" and weighs 1.1 lb.

Earthquake crystals are a general term we've coined for a type self healed crystals. The main body of the crystal has been completely shorn in two separate pieces, but have managed to reheal after the rending experience. The crack usually appears as a fault line running through the crystal. These crystals have been very useful in working with abusive trauma from childhood. They work well in giving a safe place to return to while one puts the pieces of their lives back together.

A partial piece of crystal or a complete crystal that has severed from its original matrix or cluster group, then at some later time the conditions were correct to continue to grow new crystal structure over the area where the crystal separated from its original host, in effect healing its own wounds. It is believed that this crystal will aid in any type of self-healing—physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. Self-Healed crystals are exceptionally supportive for those with strong emotional issues or traumas, or are struggling with some type of addiction that includes the inability to let go of certain kinds of behavior, a person, or belief, as well as tobacco, food, alcohol and drugs.

Cathedral quartz often forms lesser points that frequently resemble turrets of medieval castles. They frequently are highly etched and many have record keepers as well as trigonic record keepers. Cathedral quartz is associated with the higher realms and is a high vibrational crystal. They store an amazing amount of information. They work with one to open their higher consciousness. They keep one moving forward along their path, helping to prevent stagnation and regression. These crystals have gentle energy which is often very powerful. Their soothing energy makes them beautiful additions to meditation and healing work. Cathedral quartz crystals are master healers and will work on all levels and chakras. They are also excellent assistants in group work such as meditations or healing rooms.

Cathedral Quartz crystals are named after their shape. They look like mini castles! The ones of the type shown above are not to be confused with Amethyst Geodes; these have only just started to be referred to Cathedrals in the last few years, where the crystals like the one shown above have been referred to Cathedrals for many decades. Clear Cathedrals are referred to as Lightbrary Cathedrals. Lightbraries are said to house the Libraries of Light!

These crystals have doorways in them, more often than not, in their castling definition. To travel into the crystal, just gaze into the doorway, you will see it open and your consciousness will be drawn into the crystal. From there you can travel into different chambers and receive information that you are ready for at that time. You can also travel in inner and outer space in complete safety within the crystal.
