Wonderful Sparkling Barite Crystal Formation (M10905) $48.00Barite often spelled baryte, is a relatively soft barium sulfate crystal having a hardness of 3-3.5 mohs. Despite is delicate looking formation, it is surprisingly heavy for its size, its name is derived the Greek, baryos meaning heavy. This specimen is has a sparkling steel grey color with hints of green. This crystal was mined in Peru, a relatively new find in the past few years. The crystals have formed into translucent tabular crystals, and sit on a mass of pink dolomite matrix. Barite has a stabilizing energy that assists you to release old attachments.
