My understanding is are created by melting bismuth in a pot and pulling the formations out creating these intricate formations. The process doesn't take long, in some cases only ten minutes, but patience and practice is necessary to coax the intricate towers and formations. Bismuth is naturally iridescent, usually showing pink hues, however oxidation creates shades of gold, blue, green and purple. Most people associate bismuth with stomach disorders since its the main ingredient in that well known pink liquid. Bismuth is also said to assist one with astral travel boosting physical to spiritual energies. This interesting formation was grown in Germany. This formation has a neat little cave with a shimmering pool at its entrance.
