Natural citrine is one of the rarer varieties of quartz available. Recently batches of amazing crystals have been coming out of the Congo, from the Luena mine. Completely natural in color, these crystals have a deep golden color that is unparalleled! The color is gorgeous, and these crystals have become hotly sought prizes for their color and warm loving energy. Occasionally, these beautiful citrine crystals have formed with a grouping of smaller crystals surrounding the base of a large single crystal. This formation is deeply reminiscent of students clustered about a Master Teacher learning their lessons. The formation gives these unusual and beautiful crystals the energy of a University of higher learning, and has informally been dubbed “Lightbraries” after their Brazilian counterparts. Lightbraries are said to house the Libraries of Light, and much knowledge and wisdom can be gained by working with these beautiful citrine crystals.

The brilliant clarity of the main crystal creates a warm golden glow that soothes the soul. Several companion crystals wrap around her base, and allow her to self stand. Although a few minor bruises are present on the termination of both the main crystal and the companions, she is a vibrant spirit on all levels. She has a warm nurturing energy that helps to dispel anxiety and bolsters self-confidence. She teaches you to draw from your strengths to negate the effects of your weaknesses. This beautiful spirit is filled with love and light.

Citrine is a phenomenal mineral, and one of my favorites. It is one of two minerals that will not accumulate negative energy, but somehow transmutes it into loving energy. I find this interesting as both minerals--citrine and kyanite--are symbolic of the Archangel Michael. It is also known as the "Merchant's Stone". It is quite helpful in acquiring and maintaining wealth.

It is an excellent stone for clearing the aura and for aligning the auric body with the physical structure, diminishing the "muddy" areas in both the aura and the physical body. It can act to stabilize the emotions, to dispel anger, and to encourage one to "look toward the sunrise", the freshness of beginnings and the reality of excellence. Personally, I use citrine in conjunction with labradorite to help keep panic/anxiety attacks at bay.

Place Citrine on your Solar plexus when tired or in need of an energy-boost, especially good for hands on healers to help themselves recuperate. It is one of the few crystals that do not require any cleansing. It can also be left in the sun for additional charging.
