Lemurian Seed Crystals are mined in Brazil. They were found at the top of a hill that was being strip-mined for quartz. These naturally formed crystals were found separately in sand, and were not attached to clusters. They immediately got attention because they were not like the rest of the quartz found in clusters in that area. Some, but not all, carry a pink to reddish glow.  These unique crystals are clear quartz, but instead of being shiny, they appear frosted or dull - like they have a matte finish. Their most unique characteristic is a series of horizontal striations running up one or more sides of the crystals. Usually, these distinct horizontal striations end in a triangular face, forming the apex of the crystal. This crystal is from Serra do Cabral, outside of Joaquim Felicio, in Minas Gerais, Brazil.  There are still some stocks available from the old mine, but these are quite limited. However rights to open the other side of the hill have been obtained, and a new supply of Lemurians are becoming available. These crystals however are from the original mine.

Although this crystal has been partially polished, it still retains the energies and characteristic horizontal striations that so distinguish a Lemurian crystal. The crystal is quite bright and shiny, which is unusual for a Lemurian crystal and also has a silky smoothness. The energy is bright and vibrant working more in the crown chakra than the heart chakra. They wash away the cobwebs in the mind, assisting with mental clarity. They open one's mind, expanding their horizons and pushing the boundaries of one's usual comfort zone. You'll be encouraged to try new things and you'll find more opportunities to explore presenting themselves to you.
