We are absolutely enthralled with the red phantom and epidote quartz crystals and clusters from Xichang mine in the Sichuan Province of China. Visually and energetically they are very complex. Vivid red phantoms grace the interior of the crystals which range from ice clear to frosty white. Green epidote emerges from the crystals, a very striking counterpoint to the red phantoms. The most extraordinary pieces also have amethyst present, which is very rare, very beautiful, and has amazing energy. These crystals are very strong in the root chakra promoting balance and harmony from your very core. It helps one to promote flexibility and stability. They help one to care for themselves, to feel secure, balanced and in the moment. They help you to work past persistent health issues and working all the way down to the cellular level. To this end they can assist to counter the abnormal growth patterns that cause tumors, fibroids, and other abnormal growth masses. They also work to break through negative behaviors, in particular breaking the habit of finding constant comfort in food. The main work is from the strength of the energy of the red phantoms; however the epidote supports and boosts this energy, and supports healing on all levels.

Crystals with amethyst as well have some of the most complex energy of them all. They assist one to really absorb all of the changes on a deeper mental level. They work with you to progress your healing to a more active state, increasing your awareness of the impact of daily activities on your body. This is such a striking piece.  The amethyst phantoms of the quartz are quite striking, but you'll notice that the red phantom layers are not dominant as in our other formations (they're in Dragon Families if you're curious to compare).  Instead the phantoms are black, delineating the deep purple amethyst and making this formation even more striking.  The hematite is beginning to oxidize in places, so if you look closely at the photos, you can see a few areas where the phantoms are turning red.  There are two small epidote crystals on the lower formation.  They're hiding in the cascading elestial formations, so look carefully for them!

Phantom quartz crystals are said to help one understand the various stages in life that we all evolve thru, and they are said to be an excellent tool for meditation and for remembrance of past lives. Phantom quartz is especially good for children, assisting them with learning to meditate. Use phantom quartz during stressful periods, or periods of change to facilitate a more peaceful transition. It is also an excellent stone for assisting with healing from abuse issues. It helps one to see the progress in healing, and identify patterns.

Amethyst is said to bring serenity and calm, to enhance one's ability to assimilate new ideas, and to assist during meditation. It is also said to give strength and mental stability, and to provide balance between one's physical, emotional, intellectual states. Amethyst is also said to make one shrewd in business matters. Amethyst is said to help remove toxins from the body and to help treat arthritis. It also said to be useful in treating a number of disorders including those of the digestive system, heart, nervous system, skin and hearing and to help provide relief from pain and to strengthen the immune system.

Amethyst may be used to remove radiation the body stores on the sides of the head...such as from computers and such. Geodes of Amethyst are particularly good for this, just place the head next to it; you will then feel the radiation being drawn out. Place on the 3rd eye and visualize yourself breathing in the color for total mental emotional soothing. It's a very good technique to do in bed before going to sleep. It is an amazing all round healer and also a brilliant meditation crystal. Amethyst can be used for massage in wand, egg or sphere form. It makes a great elixir.

Epidote is a stone of increase. Epidote has a tendency to increase anything it touches, whether the thing it touches is energy or a material object. It is a stone that enhances emotional and spiritual growth. It cleanses repressed emotions once and for all. It opens the way for those who have denied spiritual growth, and those drawn to epidote are being rocked forcefully into spiritual awakening. Epidote also clears the emotional body aura. It stimulates perception, participation and interaction as well as personal power. It also dispels criticalness and close-mindedness. Epidote is also said to promote patience. In the physical realm, it is used to stimulate the immune system, aid digestion, support all healing, and stop panic attacks.
