Lemurian Seed Crystals are mined in Brazil. They were found at the top of a hill that was being strip-mined for quartz. These naturally formed crystals were found separately in sand, and were not attached to clusters. They immediately got attention because they were not like the rest of the quartz found in clusters in that area. Some, but not all, carry a pink to reddish glow. These unique crystals are clear quartz, but instead of being shiny, they appear frosted or dull - like they have a matte finish. Their most unique characteristic is a series of horizontal striations running up one or more sides of the crystals. Usually, these distinct horizontal striations end in a triangular face, forming the apex of the crystal. This crystal is from Serra do Cabral, outside of Joaquim Felicio, in Minas Gerais, Brazil. There are still some stocks available from the old mine, but these are quite limited. However rights to open the other side of the hill have been obtained and a new supply of Lemurians are becoming available. These crystals however are from the original mine.

This is a nice large lemurian seed crystal. It has deep horizontal striations that give the exterior a frosted appearance, while the interior is amazingly clear. This magnificent crystal is completely natural, noted by the presence of record keepers on all of the faces. There are a couple of bumps and bruises, but nothing that mars this special beauty. This crystal has a slight curve to its formation, sitting on one side it actually rocks back and forth just a little. Tap this one in some places and it sings like a singing crystal, but in others you hear the regular dull thunk. Its energy is very adaptable to the situation. Its energy is neither predominately male or female, but can take on either presence when needful. It is not one for quick action, but takes time to study a situation, and helps one temper their desire to rush in without fully thinking things through. The energy is very balanced all around, I see scales tipping from side to side, slowing coming into perfect balance. It helps one take the roller coaster of their life and put it back onto a more even track without the wild highs and lows. That's not to say that there won't be a few bumps still, but the extremes will be less so. The crystal is a little ambiguous when it come to if it is referring to health issues or life issues, but I have a feeling they go hand in hand. A steady companion. It feels very good to hold, a solid anchor in the tempest of life.
