Lithium included quartz occurs in beautiful phantom layers of purples and mauves ranging from light to deep in color. Each termination of this twin has a deep mauve phantom core contrasting the lighter purple that is found closer to its termination. Most of the core of the crystal is a soft misty pinkish purple that glows in the light. A soft layer of matrix has been left exposed on the crystal and in some areas is becoming incorporated as the next phantom layer as the crystal continues to grow. The entire crystal is covered in soft etchings and the faces even have a few record keepers. This pair to me looks as if it is almost naturally heart shaped.
