Natural citrine has long been one of our favorites of the quartz world. Iron inclusions in the quartz formations give rise to beautiful hues of yellow to yellow gold. Natural citrine stimulates the solar plexus and crown chakras assisting one to bring higher vibrational energies into the physical body. It can give you an energetic pick up at any time by placing at your solar plexus and breathing deeply for a few minutes, visualizing bright white energy streaming into your solar plexus will boost its effect. The warmth of citrine has a soothing effect that counters anxiety and stress.

It is true that this crystal is not the most beautiful in formation, but something just kept bringing me back to it. This spirit has been through some tough times, and it is clearly visible on the crystalline body. There are fault lines from damage and regrowth creating a patchwork effect enhanced by the golden healer inclusions that line many of these fractures. The interior is a contrast of clouds and clarity, reflecting light and rainbows from dozens of interior planes. The back of the crystal has a complex of matrix imbedded into the crystal adding earth energies to the mix. The surface is covered in complex etchings which mask most of the bruises, but there are still a couple bruises that are easily visible. Its spirit is undaunted by them. I see an older man in a library, keeping track of all that has been forgotten. I can almost smell the muskiness of old books. He'll take you down paths of knowledge with one subject leading into another, sometimes seemingly unrelated, but as you pull the threads of knowledge together you'll find you've created a rich tapestry. He is quite a character and can be a little cranky and crotchety at times, but he is a loveable soul at heart once you take the time to get to know his quirks. This intriguing crystal is from Brazil.

Citrine is a phenomenal mineral, and one of my favorites. It is one of two minerals that will not accumulate negative energy, but somehow transmutes it into loving energy. I find this interesting as both minerals--citrine and kyanite--are symbolic of the Archangel Michael. It is also known as the "Merchant's Stone". It is quite helpful in acquiring and maintaining wealth.

It is an excellent stone for clearing the aura and for aligning the auric body with the physical structure, diminishing the "muddy" areas in both the aura and the physical body. It can act to stabilize the emotions, to dispel anger, and to encourage one to "look toward the sunrise", the freshness of beginnings and the reality of excellence. Personally, I use citrine in conjunction with labradorite to help keep panic/anxiety attacks at bay.

Place Citrine on your Solar plexus when tired or in need of an energy-boost, especially good for hands on healers to help themselves recuperate. It is one of the few crystals that do not require any cleansing. It can also be left in the sun for additional charging. Elestials are master healers and work on many-many levels. The translation for Elestial is “Crystal of the Angels” and thus has a strong link with the Angelic realm. One may retrieve information stored in Elestials by running your hands over the etching of the crystal, before long your hands start moving on their own, you are reading the crystal much the same way as the blind use Braille language.
