This is a nice large crystal, that despite the size, feels amazingly comfortable in your hand. She's a little weather worn, with no defined termination, but the energy is strong and radiant. The green hue becomes quite distinctive near her core, radiating strong heart energies. Prasiolite is rare green amethyst. These beautiful crystal formations are completely natural with a soft green hue that is difficult to capture. Green amethyst is known by several names including green quartz, lime citrine, and vermarine. The more common trade name of Prasiolite is derived from the Greek prason meaning leek (as in the vegetable), and lithos meaning stone. Prasiolite is usually creating by heating low grade amethyst which will sometimes turn it green for setting in jewelry, however we prefer the energy of natural green amethyst.
