Opalized japser is an interesting new find from the northwest coast of Madagascar, the same general region of the ocean jasper finds. The colors are delightful with reds, pinks, and blue grays. Translucent cloudy areas mark where the jasper has opalized. This beautiful material has been polished into striking freeforms. So far has only a small amount has been available, and there are no guarantees that more will be available. I hope so because it is beautiful in form and energy.
