Natural blue topaz is fairly rare. White topaz is commonly heated or irradiated to produce blue hues that we commonly see in jewelry. While the color is not strong, these crystals clearly have a soft blue hue. This is also a very unusual formation of topaz, known as solution topaz. They do not form regular crystals as they grew in a very aqueous environment, which causes really cool etched formations. Many have limonite iron inclusions that still cling to the formations.
