Typically, tangerine crystals aren't very large with specimens averageing just a couple of inches in size. Recently, we came across a group of large tangerine crystals that are good hand-holder sizes. The energy is so earthy, warm and supportive.

There is so much to see with this formation. Translucent red-orange from iron oxide staining, there is growth in every direction. The main crystal is a tabby, while another shaft runs along its side, partially growing into the main crystal. Cascading formations grow all over this companion that show so many areas of self healing. This one is a special crystal!




Tangerine quartz is one of my favorites in the quartz family for its bright color and energy. They have great vitality that infuses your sacral chakra. This can spark creativity and aid studying as your sacral chakra is where you "digest" information as well as food. Tangerines have a fun loving energy, but knows how to be serious too. They are fantastic companions, healers and teachers.

A crystal with a flattened tabular shape and two of its opposite sides are twice as wide, or more, than its other sides, giving the appearance of a tablet is called a Tabby crystal. It is believed they can help us access information and are considered the ultimate communications crystal. They are a bridge between our adult self and our child like spirit. They can help us lighten up and laugh a lot.

A crystal is considered self healed when a partial piece of crystal or a complete crystal has sustained damage, yet continues to grow afterwards. Self-healing comes in many guises, usually where a crystal has been severed from its original growing condition, but can also occur where crystals have been bumped and bruised too. A self-healed crystal can be identified by the intricate etchings and/or multiple faces which emerge from the damaged areas. Self-Healed crystals are highly compassionate with exceptional support for those working to overcome strong emotional issues or traumas.
