Ocean jasper was only discovered a handful of years ago and unfortunately, its mining process precludes lots of this material being available. To harvest this unusual material, miners must row off the coast of Madagascar at low tide, where they can find these fascinating and unique stones lying in shallow pools. They must collect as much as they can before the tide begins to come back in, severely limiting access to these beautiful stones. Originally called orbicular jasper because of the round markings in the stone, the name ocean jasper quickly took hold, giving credit to its unusual mining process. This unusual mineral can be found in almost every color, with striking patterns.

Each ocean jasper freeform is truly unique, in both formation and in color patterns. They have been polished, retaining some of their original shape, smooth leaving undulating surfaces. It is perfect to have in your pocket as a worry stone. Ocean jasper has a unique energy, centering in the emotional bodies, bringing calm assuredness.
