While we were in Tucson last year, we came across a small batch of quartz spheres from Brazil. Now we all know that Brazil produces some amazing minerals and crystals, but these quartz spheres were very intriguing and oh my the energy!

Dendritic Quartz is an interesting and beautiful stone which appears to be included with fossilized plants, trees or ferns. The dendritic pattern is really inorganic manganese oxide. Traces of moisture and manganese, trapped inside quartz produces stains resembling trees branches or ferns called Dendrites. This amazing spheres are just loaded with this delicate branches, lending them a very nature oriented energy.

This gorgeous sphere is a lot clearer than the pictures indicate. Intricate branches of dendrites lace their way across many sections of the interior. Rainbows vie for your attention, gleaming brightly from sharp interior planes. The surface of this sphere is quite irregular where interior planes reach the surface. There is a point of minor damage, where a rainbow bursts forth. The sphere will also sit naturally at this spot. I find as I roll this sphere in my fingers, it causes me to focus on the interior more than the surface, adding depth to my focus. It is a gentle reminder that it's not always what is on the outside that matters. Its gentle energies provoke deep thoughts. It helps you to unwind and foster a deeper connection with the environment around you.
