The more I look at this graceful pair of dolphins, the more I am amazed by the artistry of the piece and the skills of the craftsman. The pair of dolphins sit of a gracefully carved piece of black calcite sections of both matte and high polish, which really picks up the graceful lines of the wave. The bottom of the calcite is slightly rounded so that the entire piece rocks back and forth with gentle encouragement. The dolphins are characters, you can really feel their energy for they are the perfect blend of yin/yang energy. The grey dolphin represents the male energy, and sits almost protectively over the blue dolphin which represents the feminine energy. Look into the eyes of the grey dolphin and be drawn into his wisdom, for his eyes see all. The blue dolphin has a playful manner, almost to an indulgent excess, but between them, they bring balance. However the most amazing aspect of these dolphins is that they are carved from the same piece of quartz!!!
