This is a striking bi-color optical calcite rhomb. Exhibiting its natural cleavage pattern on the outside, the inside shows both yellow and green colors. Optical calcite forms in a rhombohedron with clarity that you can usually see through. Because it is doubly refractive when you look through it, everything is doubled, creating holographic effects. Combined with the multitudes of interior planes that reflect light and rainbows they are just stunning. Green is an unusual color in the optical range.
